Ink and Pen, Watercolour, Gouache on Handmade Paper
A part of the Bhanu commission. I painted a triptych representing the evolution of wild cats. Adopting the shapes and colours of the native regions, incorporating movement, to show the strength and agility of cats.
The two side images are of an Iberian Lynx jumping, native to southwestern Europe but endangered due to hunting and a Caracal who lives in Africa and the Middle East (not endangered).
The central image is of an African Golden cat or Fishing Cat Cub - Native to South Asia, but endangered due to water pollution.
